3 Suspects Arrested in Quezon City Shooting That Left Barangay Officer Dead

Manila: The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) announced the arrest of three suspects involved in a shooting incident that left two people dead, including a barangay public safety officer, and another person wounded. The suspects were apprehended on Wednesday following a joint operation by local law enforcement.

According to Philippines News Agency, Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan identified the suspects as Ricardo Lucas Jr., Ernie Tambaoan, and Jenny Joy Roldan. The shooting stemmed from a dispute over a late-night videoke session, which escalated into violence when Lucas allegedly shot Pelagio Cabaddu, a local resident, and Cornelio Nuval Jr., a barangay public safety officer who responded to the disturbance. Investigators retrieved evidence from the scene, including bullet casings, and quickly apprehended the suspects.

Lucas and Tambaoan are facing multiple charges, including murder and violations of the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition. Both have previous warrants for other crimes and are reportedly involved in gun-for-hire syndicates.
