Manila: Aice Philippines has awarded cash incentives to gymnast Carlos Yulo and boxers Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas for their medal-winning performances at the Paris Olympics. Yulo received PHP2 million for winning two gold medals, while Petecio and Villegas were each given PHP300,000 for securing bronze medals.
According to Philippines News Agency, the incentives were presented during the “Saludo, Atletang Pilipino!” thanksgiving event held at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Malvar, Batangas. Aice Philippines brand manager Shereene Yu De Leon handed the mock checks to Yulo and Petecio, who also received a tour of Aice’s factory. Yulo expressed his gratitude, hoping the support would help other athletes achieve Olympic success. The event also included other Olympians, such as rower Joanie Delgaco and boxers Eumir Marcial and Hergie Bacyadan.
As the official ice cream partner of the Philippine Olympic Team, Aice continues to support athletes, promoting them as role models for the country’s youth.
