BLACKPINK’s Rose Achieves Milestone on British Singles Chart with ‘APT.’

SEOUL: BLACKPINK’s Rose has reached a significant milestone as her new song “APT.” secured the No. 4 position on Britain’s Official Singles Chart this week. This achievement marks the highest-ever ranking by a female K-pop artist on the chart, underscoring the growing global influence of K-pop music.

According to Yonhap News Agency, “APT.” is a collaborative track featuring global superstar Bruno Mars and serves as a prerelease for Rose’s forthcoming solo album, “Rosie.” The song follows “Taste” by Sabrina Carpenter, “Sailor Song” by Gigi Perez, and “Die with a Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, which hold the top three positions on the chart released this Friday.

“APT.” is notable for being the first song by a female K-pop artist to reach the fourth spot on the British chart, which ranks the most popular songs in the UK each week. This surpasses the previous record held by “(It Goes Like) Nanana,” a track by Korean DJ and music producer Peggy Gou, which reached No. 5 last year.

Rose’s upcoming solo album
, “Rosie,” is scheduled for release on December 6 and will feature 12 tracks, including “APT.” The track is also anticipated to make an entry on the U.S. Billboard’s main singles chart, the Hot 100, in the upcoming week.

In related news, BTS member Jimin’s latest single, “Who,” continues its presence on the Official Singles Chart for the 14th consecutive week, currently positioned at No. 48.
