BTS’ Jin Announces Debut Solo Album “Happy” Set for November Release

NEW YORK: Jin, the celebrated vocalist from the global K-pop phenomenon BTS, is slated to release his first solo album titled “Happy” next month, marking a significant milestone in his music career.

According to Yonhap News Agency, BigHit Music, the agency managing BTS, revealed details about the album on the K-pop fan community platform Weverse and the group’s official social media accounts. Scheduled for global release on November 15 at 2 p.m., “Happy” is described as an album that carries a message encouraging listeners to join Jin’s journey to find happiness. This message aligns with the album’s title and the artist’s personal expressions in his music.

The upcoming album will feature six tracks spanning various genres, all unified by a band sound, demonstrating Jin’s versatility as an artist. This solo debut follows his well-received single “The Astronaut” from 2022, and his popular tracks “Awake,” “Epiphany,” and “Moon” from previous BTS albums. These tracks have established Jin not only as a group mem
ber but also as a solo artist with a distinct musical identity.

Jin has also been actively engaging with fans and the public following his discharge from South Korean military service in June. He participated in a torch relay for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and has appeared on various television programs, including a variety show on BTS’s official YouTube channel and a major entertainment program on MBC. Additionally, he was recently confirmed to join the cast of Netflix’s Korean original show, “Wild Kian’s Inn,” which is set to premiere next year.

The announcement of “Happy” was also accompanied by a teaser video, released on social media at 12 a.m. Tuesday, heightening anticipation among fans and music enthusiasts worldwide.
