GWANGJU: J-Hope, a member of the internationally acclaimed K-pop group BTS, made his first public appearance since completing his mandatory military service by throwing the ceremonial first pitch at Game 2 of the Korean Series. The event took place in his hometown on Wednesday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, J-Hope donned a cap and jacket featuring the Korean Series logo as he took the mound before the South Korean baseball championship game between the Kia Tigers and Samsung Lions at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field, located 270 kilometers south of Seoul. J-Hope, originally from Gwangju, had recently been discharged from military service last Thursday.

J-Hope enlisted in April and served as an assistant drill instructor after completing his basic training. With four of the other BTS members still fulfilling their military duties, J-Hope is anticipated to concentrate on his solo career for the time being.
