Cebu Pacific Expands Flight Network in Visayas and Mindanao

CEBU CITY – Cebu Pacific announced an expansion of its flight services, resuming operations to Tacloban and initiating new routes to Zamboanga via Iloilo. This development marks a significant enhancement in the airline’s connectivity within the Visayas and Mindanao regions.

According to Philippines News Agency, the airline will commence four weekly flights to Tacloban starting October 27, which will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Additionally, new thrice-weekly flights connecting Iloilo and Zamboanga will begin on October 28, occurring every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. These strategic moves are part of the Gokongwei-led carrier’s broader agenda to increase accessibility and promote regional tourism.

CEB president Xander Lao emphasized the airline’s commitment to broadening its network, thereby facilitating greater inter-island travel and tourism within the Philippines. “We look forward to flying more Juans across our growing inter-island network and better enabling them to discover the beautiful islands of the Philippines,” Lao stated. He highlighted that the resumed service to Tacloban and the new flights to Zamboanga are pivotal to the airline’s mission to make air travel more affordable and accessible.

The promotional fares for these new routes are exceptionally competitive, with an offer allowing passengers to book flights for as low as PHP1 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges. This promotional offer is valid until September 15, for travel scheduled from October 27, 2024, to March 31, 2025.

Cebu Pacific currently operates flights to 35 domestic and 26 international destinations, continuing to expand its footprint in the aviation industry.
