Beijing: China plans to launch a trial visa waiver program for South Korean arrivals starting next week, as announced by China’s foreign ministry on Friday. This initiative will be operational through the end of next year and is aimed at enhancing travel and tourism between the two nations.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the policy will allow South Korean visitors to enter China without a visa for stays of up to 15 days. This waiver applies to visitors traveling for business, tourism, family visits, or transit purposes, beginning next Friday.
In addition to South Korean arrivals, the visa waiver program will also extend to visitors from eight other countries, including Slovakia, Norway, and Finland. This move is part of China’s broader strategy to facilitate international travel and strengthen diplomatic ties with these nations.
