Comelec Encourages Voter Registration Through Register Anywhere Program Until August 31

MANILA — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is urging eligible Filipino voters to utilize the Register Anywhere Program (RAP), which will be available in various private establishments and government offices nationwide until August 31, ahead of the May 2025 elections.

According to Philippines News Agency, the RAP enables qualified Filipinos to register to vote regardless of their current residence, facilitating increased participation in the upcoming electoral process. The collected documents and data from each registrant at the RAP sites will be forwarded to the Office of the Election Officer in the district, city, or municipality with jurisdiction over the applicant.

The initiative also caters to a wide array of voters, including those whose registrations were deactivated due to non-participation in the last two elections, overseas voters wishing to transfer their registration back to the Philippines, residents of the city or district hosting the RAP sites, and new or updating senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

Comelec has set a nationwide voter registration deadline of September 30, with eligibility criteria for voters including being 18 years or older, having resided in the Philippines for at least one year, and living in the area where they intend to register for at least six months before election day.
