LEGAZPI CITY: The Police Regional Office-Bicol (PRO-5) has delivered 14,700 liters of clean and potable water to over 600 families in Albay and Camarines Sur provinces affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, known internationally as Trami. The assistance is facilitated through the use of water desalination equipment, ensuring access to safe drinking water for those impacted by the storm.
According to Philippines News Agency, Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, spokesperson for the PRO-5, stated that the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) has been operating the water desalination equipment. The RMFB is actively moving from village to village to meet the urgent demand for clean drinking water. The initiative targets families in evacuation centers and those who have returned to their homes, with priority given to barangays identified as needing water.
The barangays that have already benefited from the water supply include areas in Oas and Polangui in Albay, as well as Nabua in Camarines Sur. The efforts aim to s
