Culinary Class Wars: Netflix Announces Season 2 Premiere for Next Year

SEOUL: “Culinary Class Wars,” the hit Korean reality show on Netflix, is set to return for its much-anticipated second season in the latter half of next year, the streaming giant confirmed on Tuesday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the original production team, including producers Kim Hak-min and Kim Eun-ji, and writer Mo Eun-seol, will reunite to bring the new season to life. The announcement came after the show’s successful first season, which captivated a global audience, topping Netflix’s non-English series chart for three consecutive weeks.

“We are able to bring Season 2 to life thanks to the support from viewers,” the producers expressed in a press release. “We will work hard to meet the expectations and love from our audience.” The show, which originally premiered on September 17, features a competitive format where elite chefs, known as White Spoons, face off against lesser-known culinary talents, dubbed Black Spoons. The intense showdowns aim to crown the country’s top cook, drawing comparisons
to the fierce competition seen in another Korean reality show, “Physical 100.”

The unique format and thrilling culinary battles have not only highlighted the skills of Korea’s top chefs but have also sparked international interest in the diverse and rich culinary heritage of Korea. As fans around the world await the return of “Culinary Class Wars,” the production team is focused on delivering another season that matches the hype and success of its debut.
