Day6’s Sungjin Announces Solo Debut with Album “30”


Seoul: Sungjin, the leader of the well-known idol band Day6, is set to make his solo debut with the release of his first full-length album titled “30” on November 5.

According to Yonhap News Agency, JYP Entertainment, which represents Day6, unveiled plans for Sungjin’s solo project through a post on its official social media channels Wednesday night. The announcement was accompanied by a promotional image hinting at the musical direction of the upcoming album. Sungjin, who first gained fame as a vocalist and guitarist with Day6 following their debut in 2015, has been a significant contributor to the band’s music, writing popular songs like “Time of Our Life” and “Welcome to the Show.”

The news of Sungjin’s solo debut coincides with Day6’s ongoing world tour “Forever Young.” Despite his solo activities, Sungjin continues to perform with the band, which has upcoming concerts in Jakarta this weekend and in Singapore on November 22.
