Filipino Healthcare Professionals Honored at Middle East Awards


DUBAI — The Filipino Times Watchlist: Top Healthcare Professionals in the Middle East Awards 2024 celebrated the achievements of 129 Filipino healthcare workers for their substantial contributions to the healthcare sector in the region. The event, held at Radisson Blu Dubai Deira Creek on September 20, recognized professionals across various fields including nursing, medicine, and pharmacy.



According to Philippines News Agency, the awards organized by New Perspective Media (NPM) Group, highlighted the role of Filipino professionals in not only advancing healthcare but also enhancing the Philippines’ reputation abroad. From the 605 nominations received, Filipino professionals from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait were honored for their excellence and dedication.



The event was graced by Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, Alfonso Ferdinand Ver, who praised the awardees for inspiring their peers and representing the global Filipino brand with professionalism and excellence. Consul General of Dubai and Northern Emirates, Marford Angeles, and Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Anne Jalando-on Louis, also acknowledged the significant impact of Filipino workers in the healthcare sector, especially as frontline workers during challenging times.



The Philippine News Agency, a media partner for the event, noted the importance of such recognition in motivating healthcare professionals and fostering a positive image of Filipinos abroad. Vince Ang, chief operating officer of NPM Group, expressed the organization’s commitment to supporting the professional growth of healthcare workers through such initiatives.
