Found an AK seized from the house of Sak Pakro’s younger brother, who had committed a crime before.

The results of the inspection of the AK47 gun seized from the house of Sak Pakro’s younger brother yesterday (July 2) found that it was used in the shooting of the former deputy mayor of Na Si Thong Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Rattaphum District, Songkhla Province in 2012.

After the somersault task force of the Crime Suppression Division 6, the Crime Suppression Division, joined forces with the Songkhla Marine Police to bring a search warrant to the residence of Mr. Phimon, the former mayor of Pak Ro Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and the residence of Mr. Phermsin in Village 6, Pak Ro Subdistrict, Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province yesterday (July 2), which was one of the operations to wipe out the mafia at 183 locations nationwide by the Royal Thai Police, the two are the elder and younger brothers of Sak Pak Ro, a former suspect in the murder of a family of 5, the Boonthawi family in 1997, and was shot and killed in 2015 after being released from prison.

During this search, o
fficers seized an unregistered AK-47 rifle using 7.62 mm ammunition, 1 barrel, 2 magazines (AK-47), 59 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition at Mr. Phermsin’s residence. He was charged with ‘possession of a firearm for which the registrar cannot issue a license, possession of ammunition without permission from the registrar.’ After his arrest, the Crime Suppression Division police took Mr. Phermsin to record his arrest and hand him over to the Pak Ro Police Station for legal proceedings. He was released on bail yesterday.

The latest report is that after officers from Forensic Science Center 9 inspected the AK-47 rifle seized from the residence of Mr. Phermsin, it was found to be the same gun used by the perpetrators to shoot and kill Mr. Phongsakorn, Deputy Mayor of Na Si Thong Subdistrict Municipality, Rattaphum District, Songkhla Province, in his Jeep Cherokee in the middle of the night on August 1, 2012 on Yontrakan Kamthon Road in Village No. 3, Tha Chamuang Subdistrict, near the entrance to the Tha Chamuang Subd
istrict Administrative Organization.

Mr. Phermsin initially stated that the gun belonged to ‘Sak Pakro’ and not his. Looking back, Sak Pakro was imprisoned in the case of the murder of 5 members of the Boonthawi family in 1997, serving 13 years in prison, and was released in 2010. He was shot and killed in 2015. As for the shooting of Mr. Phongsakorn, the deputy mayor of Na Si Thong Subdistrict Municipality, it happened in 2012, after Sak Pakro had been released from prison. It is possible that Sak Pakro was involved in the case and was the real owner of the gun.

Sak Pakro, or Mr. Rueangsak Thongkul, was a suspect in a famous case in 1997 of brutally murdering and hanging the entire Boonthawi family of 5. The incident occurred in Chingkho Subdistrict, Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province in order to steal 1 million baht. However, after being released from prison, Sak Pakro changed his name and surname and was shot dead on February 22, 2015 in Sadao District, Songkhla Province.

Sak Pakro is a native of
Ban Pakro, Tambon Pakro, Amphoe Singhanakhon, Songkhla Province. He has no fixed occupation. Before committing the murder of the Boonthawi family, he committed several robberies and thefts. Every time he committed the crime, he tied the victims’ hands and feet. He has a history of committing crimes since the age of 17-18.

The Boonthawi family murder case, a notorious robbery, murder, and hanging case, occurred on April 25, 1997, and Sak Pakro was sentenced to death, but the Supreme Court reduced his sentence to life imprisonment and he was released from prison in 2010 before being shot on Ruam Thai 2 Road, Sadao District, Songkhla Province on February 22, 2015, while he was walking out of the house to get on a motorcycle parked in front of the house. At least 2 assailants drove a white sedan to park in front of the house before using a gun to shoot Sak Pakro 2 times. His relatives took him to Sadao Hospital, but he died on the way. The police suspect that the motive for the murder may have been a personal co
nflict or conflict of interest regarding illegal business interests of an influential group in Sadao District. Until now, the assailants have not been caught
