Four-Month Partial Closure of R. Magsaysay Blvd. Westbound for Drainage Work

Manila—The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has announced a four-month partial closure of the westbound lane of R. Magsaysay Blvd. in Manila, starting this week, to facilitate drainage construction activities.

According to Philippines News Agency, the DPWH-North Manila District Engineering Office (NMDEO) detailed that the rehabilitation works will begin on September 27, 2024, with an expected completion date of January 26, 2025. The project involves the rehabilitation of 214.00 linear meters of roadway starting from Pureza Street and will extend across to the eastbound direction for 34.70 linear meters, necessitating the partial closure of the outermost lane.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternative routes to circumvent traffic delays likely to affect the area during the construction period. The DPWH aims to improve the drainage system along this busy thoroughfare to enhance road safety and manage water flow during heavy rains.
