Globe Enhances Connectivity in Bukidnon to Support Agri-business and Tourism

Malaybalay City, Bukidnon — In a strategic move to bolster the agri-fishery and tourism sectors, telecommunications giant Globe has expanded its network infrastructure across Bukidnon, including the installation of a new tower and multiple site upgrades.

According to Philippines News Agency, Globe’s senior vice president Joel Agustin detailed the enhancements during a news bulletin on Tuesday. The telecommunications provider installed a new tower in Malaybalay City and executed three site upgrades each in Libona, Manolo Fortich, and Quezon; two in Malaybalay City and Valencia City; and one each in Lantapan, San Fernando, and Maramag. “By expanding our network infrastructure, we are empowering local communities and businesses to thrive in a digital world and supporting regional development and economic growth,” Agustin said.

Bukidnon, known as a major producer of fresh fruits, vegetables, and the second largest producer of corn in the country, is poised to benefit significantly from these developments. The enhanced connectivity is expected to aid local government units, small and medium enterprises, and farmers who increasingly rely on digital tools to innovate and expand their operations.

The province also hosts large agricultural corporations, including Del Monte Philippines, Lapanday Diversified Products, and Mt. Kitanglad Agri-Development, which will also benefit from improved telecommunications infrastructure.
