High-Value Suspect Arrested with P3.2 Million Worth of Shabu in Cebu City Cemetery


CEBU CITY: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, local authorities conducted a successful buy-bust operation inside a Chinese cemetery in Cebu City, resulting in the arrest of a high-value suspect and the seizure of PHP3.2 million worth of suspected shabu.

According to Philippines News Agency, Police Lt. Christopher Irwin Sanchez Jr. led the operation that targeted the 22-year-old suspect known by the alias “Dugong”, a resident of Barangay Mabolo. The arrest took place late Sunday night when Dugong engaged in a transaction with a poseur buyer deployed by the City Drug Enforcement Unit.

The operation yielded 350 grams of suspected shabu, which has since been forwarded to the Crime Laboratory for further examination. Following the seizure, authorities have filed drug-related charges against Dugong, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking within the region.
