Iloilo City — Anti-drug operatives from Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 10 seized approximately 450 grams of suspected shabu, valued at PHP3.06 million, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bakhaw early Wednesday morning.
According to Philippines News Agency, the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Ronaldo Pedrosa, alias “Onald/Naldo,” a resident of Barangay Bolilao, was arrested during the operation. Along with the illegal drugs, police also confiscated a caliber .38 revolver and ammunition from Pedrosa, who is considered a high-value individual in the anti-drug campaign. The confiscated drugs will be turned over to the Iloilo City Police Office’s forensic unit, while Pedrosa remains in the custody of ICPS-10.
The Iloilo City government commended the police for the successful operation, issuing a statement that reiterated their commitment to fighting illegal drugs. “We stand with them in their mission to ensure a safer and drug-free Iloilo City. Rest assured, the Iloilo City government will continue to support their initiatives to rid our city of illegal drugs and other criminal activities,” the statement said.
