KES 2024 to Unveil Latest AI Technologies at Seoul Convention


SEOUL: The Korea Electronics Show (KES) 2024 commenced on Tuesday, featuring cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technologies aimed at promoting a sustainable future. The event, organized by the industry ministry, will run for four days at the COEX convention center in southern Seoul, spotlighting 520 companies from 13 countries, including major players from the United States, Japan, Germany, and China.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy detailed that KES 2024 will present the latest AI innovations across various sectors such as mobility and robotics, alongside initiatives focused on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. Vice Industry Minister Park Sung-taek emphasized the progress of South Korea’s electronics and IT firms despite global market uncertainties, mentioning strides in smartphones and TVs.

Minister Park further stated the government’s commitment to positioning South Korea as a leader in the global electronics and IT industries, aim
ing for record exports this year. He acknowledged the necessity of removing unnecessary regulations to facilitate the release of innovative products, underscoring the government’s proactive stance in supporting the sector’s growth.
