Korea Interbank Offered Rates Show Stability Across Most Terms


SEOUL: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) demonstrated stability across most terms, with minimal fluctuations observed in the rates posted at 11:00 a.m. by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency. The 6-month rate was the only term to witness a slight increase, moving from 3.35% to 3.36%.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the KORIBOR rates for the 1-week, 1-month, 2-month, 3-month, and 12-month periods remained unchanged from the previous session. The 1-week rate held steady at 3.25%, while the 1-month and 2-month rates were consistent at 3.31% and 3.35%, respectively. The 3-month and 12-month terms also showed no change, maintaining their positions at 3.40% and 3.20%.

The lone adjustment in the rates was seen in the 6-month term, which increased slightly by 0.01 percentage points to 3.36%. This minor change highlights a largely stable interbank lending environment in South Korea, as reflected in the consistent rates across shorter and longer-term lending periods
