KORIBOR Rates Hold Steady in Short Term, Slight Adjustments in Longer Durations


SEOUL: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) showed minor adjustments in their longer-term rates while maintaining stability in shorter durations, according to the latest report by Yonhap Infomax, a subsidiary of Yonhap News Agency.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the rates for the 1-week and 1-month KORIBOR remained stable at 3.25% and slightly decreased from 3.34% to 3.33% respectively. However, there were minimal decreases in the 2-month and 3-month rates, each easing by 0.01% to 3.37% and 3.41% respectively. The 6-month rate also saw a slight decrease from 3.37% to 3.36%. Notably, the 12-month rate decreased from 3.22% to 3.21%.

These changes reflect subtle movements in the interbank lending rates, which are crucial for determining the cost of borrowing between banks in South Korea. The KORIBOR rates are a key reference for various financial instruments and investment decisions across the country.
