KOSPI 200 Companies Exhibit Mixed Market Movements


Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed mixed results today, with significant movements among major South Korean companies. Leading the gains, HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC surged by 8,500 units, while notable declines were observed in companies like HANMISemi and KBFinancialGroup.

According to Yonhap News Agency, various sectors within the KOSPI 200 index experienced fluctuations. HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC led the list of gainers with an impressive rise of 8,500 units, closing at 319,000. Other significant gains were recorded by POONGSAN and Netmarble, which went up by 4,200 and 3,500 units, respectively.

On the other hand, the semiconductor company HANMISemi saw the largest drop, decreasing by 2,700 units to close at 101,500. Other companies such as KBFinancialGroup and HD HYUNDAI also faced downturns, with KBFinancialGroup dropping by 900 units and HD HYUNDAI by 2,600 units.

In the energy sector, KEPCO E and C showed a strong performance, increasing by 3,600 units to close at 72,000. Additionally, the chemical sector saw
LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp and LGCHEM rising by 2,500 and 2,000 units, respectively.

The day ended with mixed sentiments as various companies across different sectors showed divergent performance, reflecting the dynamic nature of the market.
