KOSPI 200 Companies Show Mixed Trading Results


SEOUL: Major companies listed on the KOSPI 200 index displayed mixed results in their recent trading session, with notable movements in sectors ranging from technology to financial services and heavy industry.

According to Yonhap News Agency, POSCO Holdings experienced a significant drop, closing down 12,000 points at 352,500. In contrast, Yuhan saw a sharp increase, up 5,900 points, closing at 163,700. The technology sector witnessed fluctuations with SK down 700 points at 152,400, while SK Telecom decreased by 300 points, closing at 56,000. SK Square, however, edged higher by 100 points to 86,400.

The energy and materials sectors also showed varied performance. ECOPRO MAT dropped significantly by 5,600 points to 112,200, whereas HYOSUNG TNC and HYOSUNG ADVANCED reported modest gains, with the former up 500 points at 301,000.

In the consumer goods sector, AMOREPACIFIC remained unchanged at 124,000, and CosmoAM and T dropped by 4,400 points to 111,800. The financial sector had positive movements as HANAFIN
ANCIALGR went up by 600 points to 64,400, and KakaoBank increased by 200 points to 22,600.

The transportation and logistics sector also saw varied results; HYUNDAIGLOVIS was up by 800 points at 115,300, whereas Shinsegae faced a decline, down 2,700 points to 152,000.

Overall, the day’s trading reflected a diverse range of ups and downs across various industries, highlighting the dynamic nature of the stock market.
