LPG Prices Rise Again, Marking Third Consecutive Monthly Increase

MANILA – Consumers are facing another increase in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices, marking the third consecutive month of price hikes.

According to Philippines News Agency, the price of LPG has been raised by PHP0.55 per kilogram starting Sunday, a move aligned with the international contract price for September. “This reflects the international contract price of LPG for the month of September,” stated Petron. This adjustment has led to a PHP6.05 increase for a regular 11-kilogram household LPG tank. Additionally, the price of auto LPG has risen by PHP0.25 per liter.

Before this increase, data from the Department of Energy indicated that the cost for an 11-kilogram cylinder of LPG in Metro Manila ranged from PHP840 to PHP1,087, with auto LPG typically priced at PHP40.85 per liter.
