According to Philippines News Agency, the operation, which was spearheaded by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), began at 4 a.m. on Monday. The ICPO reported the confiscation of approximately 486 grams of shabu throughout the series of raids. The largest single seizure occurred in Barangay General Hughes, City Proper District, where police arrested a 46-year-old high-value suspect known as alias “Lan.” Officers confiscated 305 grams of shabu from him, with an estimated street value of over PHP2.07 million.
In a separate operation in the Molo district, another high-value target, identified as alias “Neneng,” was apprehended. Law enfo
rcement officials seized 170 grams of shabu from her, valued at more than PHP1.15 million. Additional raids conducted in Barangay Bo. Obrero, Lapuz District; Barangay Concepcion, City Proper; and Barangay Kasing-Kasing, Molo resulted in the arrest of five more suspects and the seizure of over PHP64,000 worth of shabu.
The suspects arrested during these operations are set to face charges under Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
