Seoul: K-pop girl group NewJeans has received recognition on a global scale with their 2022 single “Ditto,” which has been ranked as one of the best songs of the 2020s by the prominent U.S. music magazine, Paste. The song secured the 23rd spot on the magazine’s list of “The 100 Best Songs of the 2020s So Far,” according to the group’s agency, ADOR.
According to Yonhap News Agency, “Ditto” is the sole K-pop entry on the list, which predominantly features tracks from international pop stars like Billie Eilish and SZA. Paste Magazine highlighted NewJeans’ impact on the K-pop industry, describing the group as having surged prominently in the 2020s and praising “Ditto” as one of the genre’s greatest productions.
NewJeans has also made a significant mark on the Billboard charts with “Ditto” and another hit single, “OMG.” The group became the fastest K-pop act to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, cementing their growing influence in the global music scene.
