P1.7M Shabu Seized at Davao Checkpoint.

DAVAO: The Task Force Davao (TFD) and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) confiscated PHP1.7 million worth of shabu from two suspects at the Sirawan checkpoint in Toril district on Tuesday night. Col. Darren Comia, TFD commander, reported that the suspects, identified only as ‘Harold’ and ‘Hany,’ were driving a private vehicle and were stopped for a standard inspection around 9:45 p.m.

According to Philippines News Agency, during the search, officers discovered 256.6 grams of shabu concealed inside the vehicle. The two individuals, reportedly traveling from Cotabato, were taken into custody following the discovery.

Col. Comia expressed gratitude to the checkpoint personnel for their vigilance in screening incoming individuals and vehicles. He emphasized the importance of strict border control in maintaining public security and strengthening Davao City’s safety.

The seized drugs are currently under the custody of DCPO’s Police Station 8, where further investigation will be conducted.
