Palace Clarifies President Marcos’ Activities During F1 Weekend in Singapore

According to Philippines News Agency, Presidential Communications Office Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez clarified the president’s itinerary in response to inquiries from the press. ‘He [Marcos] did not go to Singapore,’ Chavez stated, dispelling the circulating rumors. Instead, President Marcos spent the weekend at home engaged in personal and official tasks. His activities included spending time with his family, recording his weekly vlog, and attending to governmental documents that required his review and signature.

Further highlighting the President’s recent engagements, a video message was shared on social media where President Marcos expressed gratitude for the birthday wishes he received on September 13, when he turned 67. On his birthday, Marcos demonstrated his commitment to
the agricultural sector and healthcare. He announced a debt condonation for farmers and introduced a new financing scheme aimed at increasing agricultural productivity and farmers’ earnings. Additionally, he ordered the government to cover hospital bills incurred on that day by eligible patients in third-level government facilities. The President also opened the gates of Malacañang Palace, where food booths were made available to the public.

‘Maraming salamat sa inyong mainit na pagbati (Thank you everyone for all your birthday greetings)!’ Marcos said in the video. He reiterated his administration’s dedication to enhancing the accessibility and affordability of medical services in the Philippines.
