The concert will feature a blend of historical melodies and modern themes, reflecting the PCSO’s long-standing values and the new “Bagong Pilipinas” initiative.

According to Philippines News Agency, the PCSO stated that the concert will highlight a 16-piece string ensemble accompanying the chorale. The event’s first segment will focus on songs that commemorate significant moments in the PCSO’s 90-year history. Following this, the repertoire will shift to pieces that resonate with the core values of the PCSO and align with the principles of the “Bagong Pilipinas” initiative under
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s administration.

The event will also see a special appearance by Imelda Papin, known as the “Sentimental Songstress,” who will perform several songs during the concert. Recently appointed to the PCSO Board of Directors, Papin’s participation is anticipated to add a unique flair to the evening.

The PCSO Chorale, established in 1998 during the PCSO’s 64th anniversary, has played a significant role in enhancing the agency’s public image through its performances at various agency, state events, and local competitions. Achievements include a 1st runner-up position at the Government Corporations Athletic Association (GCAA) choral competition in September 2000, and a 1st prize win at the National Apostleship of Prayer Christmas Carol Competition in the same year.

However, the chorale was put on a hiatus in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and remained inactive until its revival in September 2023 under the leadership of PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles. The chorale now ope
rates under the baton of renowned conductor Robert Delgado, continuing its mission to uplift the PCSO’s corporate image and serve as the agency’s Ambassadors of Goodwill through stirring musical performances.
