Spin Doctors Seek Third Victory Against HD Spikers in Spikers’ Turf

Pasig: Savouge Aesthetics is set to challenge Cignal in the Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference elimination round at the Ynares Sports Arena on Friday, aiming for their third consecutive win.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Spin Doctors will rely heavily on key players Louis Gamban, Giles Jeffer Torres, John Daniel Diwa, Lorenz Señoron, and Norwel Sanama in their 6 p.m. matchup against the HD Spikers. Gamban, who previously scored 18 points, led Savouge to a hard-fought victory over Martelli Meats at the Philsports Arena. Torres added 15 points, while Diwa contributed 14, showcasing a strong defensive presence with five blocks each.

Señoron and Sanama were instrumental in Savouge’s win against the Volleyball Never Stops (VNS) Griffins, each scoring nine points in a straight-set victory at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex. Coach Sydney Calderon expressed confidence in the team’s performance, emphasizing their eagerness to compete against Cignal without feeling pressured.

Conference in May, secured a decisive victory over Chichi DHTSI Brotherhood. Head coach Dexter Clamor noted the challenge posed by Savouge, acknowledging their dynamic playstyle and cautioning against complacency. The HD Spikers will feature Joshua Umandal and rookies JM Ronquillo and Joshua Retamar.

In another matchup, PGJC Navy will face Chichi DHTSI at 4 p.m. The Navy team will be led by Greg Dolor, Joeven Dela Vega, and Louie Pudadera, while the Titans aim to break a three-game losing streak with Matthew Miguel and Jonathan Sorio.
