Sunday’s Weather Update: Sunny Conditions Dominate Most Major South Korean Cities


SEOUL — This Sunday’s weather forecast for South Korea predicts predominantly sunny skies across the majority of its 12 major cities, with a notable exception in Chuncheon where heavy rain is expected.



According to Yonhap News Agency, Seoul is expected to experience a high of 33°C and a low of 27°C with a 70% chance of sunshine. Similar sunny conditions with slight variations in temperature are forecast for Incheon, Suwon, Cheongju, Daejeon, Jeonju, Gwangju, Jeju, and Busan. Each of these cities shows at least a 60% likelihood of sun, except for Gangneung where the probability of sunshine is at 100%.



Chuncheon, however, stands out with a forecast of heavy rain and a 70% likelihood of precipitation, along with a high of 33°C and a low of 24°C. Meanwhile, Daegu and Busan are both expected to be sunny with only a 20% chance of rain.



The weather across South Korea is largely sunny and warm, making it ideal for outdoor activities in most regions except for Chuncheon, where residents and visitors may need to prepare for significant rainfall.
