Seoul: The U.S. Embassy in Seoul announced on Wednesday that it will be hosting a technology-focused camp aimed at young South Koreans, with a particular emphasis on the application and ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI).
According to Yonhap News Agency, the “TechCamp Korea 2024” is scheduled to take place over four days starting on Thursday. The camp will welcome 50 participants, including college students, professionals, and startup entrepreneurs. The sessions will be conducted by five speakers from leading global companies, alongside two Korean AI experts. The program will focus on various topics, including the safe and ethical use of AI and the development of a secure AI ecosystem.
The initiative is a part of a global leadership camp organized by the U.S. State Department. This marks the first time the event will be held in Seoul, reflecting a growing emphasis on international collaboration and the importance of fostering young talent in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
