**World Bio Summit 2024 to Focus on Global Health Care Strategies in Incheon**


Seoul: The health ministry announced plans on Monday to co-host the third annual World Bio Summit with the World Health Organization next month in Incheon. The summit, scheduled for November 11-12, aims to unify global experts to discuss and forge strategies for a stable global health care supply chain.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the summit, themed “Future investment for a healthy and secure decade,” will feature discussions on pressing issues in the vaccine and biotechnology sectors. Health Minister Cho Kyoo-hong emphasized the summit’s role as a critical platform for addressing global health care threats and preparing appropriate responses.

The event will bring together health ministers, senior government officials, business leaders, and representatives from global organizations. They are expected to exchange insights on innovative research and development, strengthening global supply chains, and enhancing biotechnology capabilities. Moreover, the summit aims to explore avenues for expanding global
cooperation in these fields.

In addition to the main discussions, the World Bio Summit 2024 will host parallel events and seminars involving key international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank and the International Vaccine Institute. The health ministry also plans to establish the Global Business Lounge to facilitate and expand global cooperation among South Korean health care companies during the summit.
