Yoon and New Zealand PM Luxon to Discuss Bilateral Ties in Seoul Summit

SEOUL — South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol is set to meet with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon for a summit in Seoul next week. The meeting will focus on enhancing bilateral relations and expanding regional and international cooperation.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Luxon’s official visit will take place from September 4-5. The leaders, who last met on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington, will continue discussions from their previous encounter where they, along with leaders from Japan and Australia, condemned the growing military cooperation between North Korea and Russia. The upcoming summit aims to further solidify the partnership between South Korea and New Zealand amid shifting geopolitical dynamics.
