SEOUL: President Yoon Suk Yeol has appointed his former chief of staff, Kim Dae-ki, as the new ambassador to China, signalling a strategic move aimed at bolstering economic ties between the two nations.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the presidential office, the announcement was made by the current Presidential Chief of Staff, Chung Jin-suk, during a recent press briefing. Chung highlighted Kim’s extensive experience in economic cooperation with China as a key factor in his selection for this critical diplomatic role.
