Seoul: President Yoon Suk Yeol called Thursday for a “strong response” after North Korea launched a suspected intercontinental ballistic missile toward the East Sea. Yoon issued the directive following a briefing on the launch, which the South Korean military detected at approximately 7:10 a.m. near Pyongyang.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the president emphasized the necessity of a robust response to North Korea’s actions in collaboration with the international community. The presidential office released a statement urging for comprehensive preparedness to prevent North Korea from executing any surprise provocations.
