Yoon’s Approval Rating Reaches All-Time Low, Realmeter Finds


Seoul: President Yoon Suk Yeol’s approval rating has plummeted to an all-time low of 24.1 percent, according to a recent Realmeter poll.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the survey illustrated a significant decline in public support for President Yoon, showing a drop of 1.7 percentage points from the previous week’s record low of 25.8 percent. This downward trend in positive assessments is accompanied by an increase in negative views, with disapproval ratings reaching a new high of 72.3 percent. The poll, which gathered opinions from 2,510 adults, was conducted last week from Monday to Friday, boasting a 95 percent confidence level and a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.

In related findings, a separate Realmeter survey assessed political party support among South Koreans. The ruling People Power Party saw a slight increase in approval, rising by 0.5 percentage points to 31.3 percent. Meanwhile, the main opposition Democratic Party also experienced a minor boost in support, rising by 0.3
percentage points to 44.2 percent. This survey, conducted on 1,003 individuals aged 18 and over during the latter part of the same week, holds a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points and maintains the same confidence rate of 95 percent.
